A Blade so Black by L.L. McKinney

Review:

This novel is a re-imagining of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, set in Atlanta, Georgia, with a black female protagonist. It is marketed as Alice in Wonderland meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which is completely accurate, as well as tying in real-world experiences of the BIPOC community. This is an amazing book, tying modern conflicts with the fantastical ideas of Lewis Carroll.
