13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Review:

Even as someone who has never seen the Netflix adaptation of this novel, I was completely entranced in it. This novel tells the story of Hannah Baker, as Clay Jensen listens to her tapes about the thirteen reasons why she committed suicide two weeks earlier. The story is heavy and deals with dark themes, but it is also very compelling and is difficult to put down.

An important note: The book is far less graphic than the Netflix how for anyone who may be concerned about this!
